We begin this space by locating ourselves in it with an expression of gratitude.
As a people without a land
Tau are guests everywhere and forever
We are grateful to the many nations
who host us. Thank you
We thank our host in the urbanized indigenous community
The Victoria Native Friendship Centre. Thank you

WELCOME!
T’eVine is a living community that changes and grows from our common ground of good intentions.
Be sure to check back here from time to time.
T’eVine is moderated space and this is a summary of our guidelines.
GETTING HELP
If you are experiencing any technical difficulties please reach out to our moderators by tagging them. If you want to report an inappropriate behaviour, please contact the moderators with your issue. Before escalating any issue, if possible, users should inform the person who’s behaviour is a concern what they find problematic. We call this the ‘Don’t tell Mom rule’ Sometimes intervention is needed, but first tell the person what you intend to do. If any question or concern, check in with the moderators and ask them to address the issue. You can always email us at info@tvine.ca
SUMMARY OF OUR GUIDELINES (details in next panel)
We want the fewest controls possible that maintain safer space for everyone.
Rules imply power. Someone makes the rules and they are followed or there are consequences.
We have plenty of rules elsewhere in our lives and here we want minimal rules.
We want T’eVine to be a place where manners matter and rules are relaxed.
In this space all are expected to demonstrate courtesy in their relations with others. Courtesy requires self-discipline and self-regulation which includes accepting that you along with all people commit to building resilience in yourself to accept diversity in others.
COURTESY
Courtesy is an internal quality each of us are called to cultivate in ourselves.
MANNERS
Manners are a persistent expression of courtesy
ETIQUETTE
Etiquette is a set of examples of behaviours that demonstrate manners that express courtesy.
